Writing

Tags

Label posts so you can filter the content board, the calendar, and your reporting by campaign or theme.

What tags are for

A tag is a coloured label you put on a post. Once posts are tagged you can filter the content board and the calendar by tag, which turns "show me everything" into "show me the Q3 launch."

They are your own labels, not hashtags. Nothing about a tag is published โ€” the audience never sees them.

Useful things to tag by: a campaign, a launch, a content pillar, a client deliverable, a format you are testing.

Creating them

Settings โ†’ Tags. Give a tag a name and a colour.

Creating and editing tags is admin only. Everyone can apply existing tags to posts and filter by them โ€” the restriction is on the vocabulary, not on using it. That keeps a shared taxonomy from turning into forty near-duplicates.

Applying them

Tag a post from the editor, or from the post's row on the content board. A post can carry several tags.

Filtering

Tags appear as filters on the content board and the calendar. Combine a tag filter with the status filters to answer things like "what launch content is still awaiting approval."

Scope

Tags belong to a workspace. Each client on an agency account has its own tag list, so one client's campaign names do not clutter another's.

Move to a different workspace and you get that workspace's tags.

Renaming and deleting

Renaming a tag updates it everywhere it is applied. The posts keep the tag.

Deleting a tag removes it from every post that had it. The posts are untouched otherwise โ€” you lose the label, not the content. The settings page shows how many posts carry each tag, so you can see what a deletion would affect before doing it.
