Three steps to a week of posts

1

Drop in one idea

Write a single core idea at the top of the sheet. One topic is all you need to fill every row.

2

Adapt it across formats

Work down the format list. Each row tells you how to reshape the same idea into a listicle, a hot take, a how-to, and more.

3

Move the best into your calendar

Pick the strongest three or four versions and schedule them across the week. One idea, a full week of posts.

Questions about the
content matrix

What is a content matrix?
A content matrix is a simple grid that maps one idea against many post formats. Instead of inventing a new topic for every post, you take a single core idea and reshape it into a listicle, a contrarian take, a how-to, a personal story, and more. It turns one good idea into a week of content.
How do I use this content repurposing template?
Write one core idea at the top of the sheet, then move down the format list. Each row gives you a prompt for adapting that single idea into a different format. Fill in the versions you like, then copy the strongest three or four into your content calendar.
Do I need a paid tool to use it?
No. The template is a free Google Sheet. Click Make a copy to get your own editable version, or download the CSV and import it into Notion. There is no signup and no gating.
How do I import the template into Notion?
Download the CSV, then in Notion choose Import, select CSV, and pick the file. Notion creates a database with the same columns so you can work the matrix as a table or board.
How many posts can one idea produce?
The template lists twelve formats, so a single idea can become up to twelve distinct posts. Most people keep the three or four that fit their audience best and schedule those across the week.
Who is this template for?
It is built for B2B marketers, founders, and creators who post on LinkedIn and X and want to stop starting from a blank page. If you have ideas but struggle to turn them into a steady stream of posts, the matrix does the heavy lifting.
